Hopsquad x Los Verdes Present Zapatista Lager

Get ready for quite possibly the biggest news for Austin FC fans since the last time Matthew McConaughey released a monologue on Twitter: Hopsquad Brewing has partnered up with Los Verdes to release Zapatista, a deliciously crisp Mexican-style lager. It's available now and we highly recommend you Take the trek to the brewery and, while you're at it, stop by McKalla Place, which is right around the corner!

One thing we know how to do very well here in the ATX is survive 100 degree days, and what makes those scorching days easier? Mexican lager. Let's face it, no matter where in the world you're watching a match, futbol and local cerveza go together like I-35 and angry crying. Hopsquad brewing is one of MANY breweries within walking distance (summertime walking not recommended for non-Texans) of the future home of Austin FC.

Zapatista represents soccer and the community and continues one of the main missions of Los Verdes, to create one of the best supporters cultures in MLS both on and off the pitch. But more importantly, this magical collaboration has inspired countless Verdes to FINALLY have a reason to leave their bubble.

Don't believe me? I packed up my dogs and drove up north from my humble abode in SE Austin, the whole time thinking, "Do it for the beer. Do it for the beer. Do it for the beer," further proving that all you need to do to convince a Verde to do just about anything is to offer them a cold pint.
