she/herI grew up in Round Rock and though grad school moved me out of state for a few years, I always knew I’d be back. Since my return to Round Rock in 2020, I know I’m here to stay—the Austin area is my forever home.
My love for soccer started when I began playing at eight years old, then grew during the ’94 World Cup, and took off even more when MLS was established and I attended my first game in 1996 (Dallas vs Colorado, back when FC Dallas was the Burn…and actually played in Dallas). I’ve been witness to many MLS shenanigans since the early years, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Austin FC is a literal dream-come-true for me and my family and Los Verdes has been the icing on the cake of my fandom. I’ve been an LV member and a STH since the first season. This community has brought me through some of the toughest moments of my life, and some of the happiest. It’s important to me to give back to the people who have supported me these last few years, both within LV and the greater Austin soccer community. It’s an amazing feeling to be able to connect the people I love most with the game I love most.
Anyone can speak the language of soccer, which is perhaps the thing I love most about the sport, and I feel it’s my duty to continue to grow the legend within LV and our community and lay the groundwork for my two young daughters to come up in a supportive SG environment.

they/themHi friends!
I grew up in San Marcos and will always consider Central Texas home. I’m currently living a digital nomad life and am enjoying seeing the world with my partners and our four dogs.
Soccer was my first love. I joined my first team at eight years old and immediately found that I wanted to be in the goal. Watching the 99 Women’s World Cup only deepened my love of the game. After an injury, I shifted into being a ref and then a kids coach. Coaching U4 is still my favorite coaching experience because at that age it’s about fostering a love of the sport. I was overjoyed at the news of Austin getting an MLS team and joined Los Verdes in February 2022.
Los Verdes has given me a community where I can be my authentic queer self. I want to continue our organization’s focus on being inclusive and involved in the greater community. Since joining I have helped with numerous Fútbol y Comunidad efforts, as well as TIFOs, the Austin Marathon, and SXI elections. I am so thankful that when we say “Y’all means all” we mean it.
When I’m in town for matches, you’ll find me in 104 riding the rails with other Pringlings. -

she/herI am a first-generation Mexican American born in Texas who has spent most of her life between Austin and the Washington, D.C. area.
My soccer journey began with watching La Liga & Liga MX with my dad when I was a kid. I have been a passionate supporter of MLS since its inception. I have been an Austin FC season ticket holder since the first season. I joined LV in June 2021 but did not become actively involved with the organization until 2023 when I helped paint the first tifo of the season. I have been on the Membership Committee since 2024.
I am the founder of the Austin chapter of November Project, a global volunteer run fitness community that aims to build human connection by providing free & fun modifiable outdoor workouts a few times a week. I led the community for almost 8 years.
In my professional life, I work in construction of federally funded multi-family affordable housing helping to ensure laborers onsite are paid & treated properly.
When I am not working or watching soccer, I love going on adventures with my dog Riggins, hanging out with friends and traveling to other countries (mostly to watch more soccer!) -

I’m a native Texan born and raised on the border in El Paso, Texas and have lived in Austin for the last 14 years. As a first gen Mexican-American, I grew up playing and watching fútbol. I joined Los Verdes in 2022, and very quickly fell in love with the community of Austin FC supporters. I started volunteering on the Tifo committee and was blown away at the creativity, talent and dedication of everyone I've met. In 2023, I joined the LV marcom team as the English to Spanish translator. Now as a part of the Starting XI, I am honored and thrilled to represent such a passionate community and will work hard to amplify the LV pillars of Fútbol y Comunidad.
When I'm not cheering on the verde and black in the supporters section, you can catch me enjoying live music around town, at the Alamo Drafthouse, or backpacking and traveling to new and interesting places.

she/her
Born in Portland Oregon, Elyse spent her childhood up and down the west coast, instilling within her a love of art, chill vibes, coffee and the ocean.
This led to many fun adventures including graduating from the Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts in California as a theater technician/scenic artist to working with theater companies across the US to canvassing/organizing on behalf of progressive causes. After moving to Austin 15 years ago and being inspired by its unique vibrancy, Elyse kept the adventures rolling by co-founding her own art studio. Art Amore is now over 12 years old and Elyse strives to keep it a beautiful and nurturing space where people are encouraged to learn not just technique, but creativity, thoughtfulness, and, most importantly, fun.
Elyse’s love of soccer may be her newest adventure, having kicked off with the beginning of Austin FC, watching the first game ever and thinking, that goalie looks like he might be really, really good at this. But now 4 seasons, many tifos and an untold number of scarves in, she wouldn’t have it any other way.
(Was it weird for Elyse to write this in the third person? Yes… Yes it was). -

Hola Verdes! I am a born and raised Austinite hailing from the Del Valle/Creedmoor area. I also have lived in San Marcos for a few years after going to Texas State. Eat em up, Cats! I didn’t grow up playing sports but I have enjoyed the heck out of them since I was a youngin’. Like many Austinites, I never had a professional hometown team to call my own so when the club came to be, I immediately became hooked and searched for ways to be involved. When I learned about Los Verdes and how they formed and who they were I was hooked! Being somewhat of an introvert, I saw this as a moment to make friends and give back to my community. Fast forward to now, I’m honored and proud of the work we have done. LV has done wonders for my self-esteem and soul. I hope to give others the same connection that I have had through LV. I’d be proud to represent the community and advocate for us.
As a part of Los Verdes, I have painted almost all of the TIFOs, been an active member of the Watch Party committee, helping to bring a safe and fun experience for all, and have volunteered for numerous events and activities such as the Austin Marathon, boat parties, banner hangings, and more. I am a proud member of Speedo FC and Los Pringles. Come say hi in Pring-Ohh-Four!

Hello all!
I’m a born and bred Hoosier from Indiana who moved around a bit before making my way to Austin in 2009. Education-wise, I’ve earned degrees in Telecommunications, Audio Technology, and graphic design. Over the years, I’ve worked a variety of jobs including customer service rep for a greeting card company in Indiana; a market researcher for the film industry in California; a sound engineer for Club Med in Mexico; and an inside sales rep for a prosthetics company here in Austin.
I attended my first Austin FC match in 2021 and even though I was fairly new to soccer at that point, I was hooked. I started learning more about the team and the culture that surrounded it here, and that’s when Los Verdes really came to the forefront for me. I respected the LV vibe, the ties to the community, and the support it gives to the team. Once I joined LV, I got to see firsthand how special the LV community itself is. It offers a beautiful foundation for soccer fans of all kinds to join together, feel safe, and belong.
I love the community that LV has created, and I’m proud to have the opportunity to protect, sustain, and grow it as a member of the SXI. -

I was born and raised in San Antonio and have now lived over 25% of my life in Austin. When asked why I don’t move back ‘home’, it’s because Austin speaks to me and is and will be my forever home. The easy access to outdoor life, amazing food & craft beer scene, the people, and the way the community support each other are what make me feel at home here.
I’ve always been a sports fan, known for my pride and passion for the teams I followed. Finding Los Verdes and experiencing a match day in the Supporters Section changed my life in so many ways. People were welcoming, excited, nervous, cheerful, LOUD, proud, and always supporting the team - and from my day one - I was hooked.
I became a soccer fan when Austin FC and Los Verdes came in to my life. Now I’m a season ticket holder in the Supporters Section and have been to 3 US National Team games. I want to ensure the feeling I had when finding Los Verdes is what every member feels, continuously. Futbol y Comunidad are a big part of LV and my love of our community, our club, and our membership will drive me to make sure that is always a top priority.

I’ve lived my entire adult life in Austin—and to be honest, I was starting to feel pretty jaded about it before the pandemic hit. My path to falling back in love with this city started when I saw a couple dozen people singing on a dirt hill outside Austin FC’s first-ever friendlies in 2021. I joined Los Verdes that day.
Fast forward a few years, and I’ve never felt more planted here. I’ve made friendships that’ve changed the course of my life. I’ve traveled the country multiple times over. I’ve seen confoundingly terrible matches, stunning comeback victories, and some incredible drag shows.
Through the matchday experience, collective action on issues relevant to our community, the chaos of Slack, and a million moments in between, LV has shown me Austin at its best: energetic, creative people coming together around a love of soccer, in conversation with the long histories of Latin American and other global supporter’s group cultures, to provide thousands of Austin FC fans with a common purpose and a feeling of belonging. After years of documenting the fan experience as part of the Photo-Video and MarCom teams, I’ll be spending my term on the Starting XI with a heavy focus on improving the essential background details that make this organization run more efficiently and with less burnout as it matures into its fifth year.
Starting XI headshots by Jake Buss, Katie Ensign, and Zach Lyons.
