Latinitas

Latinitas mission is to empower ALL girls to innovate through media and technology. We offer a variety of opportunities for girls to discover their voice, develop media and technology skills and build a solid foundation for their future. Through after-school clubs, camps, events and publications, and channels, we provide a space, both in the physical and online, for girls to express themselves, develop their skills, learn about their culture and discover their unique voice.

Los Verdes has partnered up with Latinitas to help better serve our community through volunteer opportunities, showcasing our missions and opening the world of soccer to our chicas. 

Out Youth

Out Youth serves Central Texas LGBTQIA+ (lesbian/gay/bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning, intersex, and asexual) youth and their allies with programs and services to ensure these promising young people develop into happy, healthy, successful adults.

Los Verdes partnered with the Plastics SG to create a joint scarf design with 100% of proceeds going to Out Youth. The scarf design was created by Los Verdes’ own Jesse Sosa. The project raised $1700 for Out Youth.

Soccer Assist

Soccer Assist provides opportunities and places to play for underserved youth through scholarships and building sports courts in partnerships with Austin’s Parks and Recreation Department, 4ATX Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Austin FC, and the US Soccer Foundation. They also have great  soccer parties featuring top musicians, DJs and soccer stars.

Los Verdes is partnering with Soccer Assist to support their events and nonprofit work throughout Austin.

Austin Justice Coalition

The Austin Justice Coalition (AJC) serves people who are historically and systematically impacted by gentrification, segregation, over policing, a lack of educational and employment opportunities, and other institutional forms of racism in Austin.

Los Verdes has partnered with Austin Justice Coalition on a #BlackLivesMatter bandana. 100% of the proceeds of the item went to Austin Justice Coalition, resulting in a $2600 donation to the group.

Austin Soccer Foundation

The Austin Soccer Foundation (ASF),supports underserved and economically disadvantaged residents in Austin and the surrounding five county area through the beautiful game. ASF focuses on player and referee development, academic advancement, and field development while partnering with like-minded organizations that use soccer as the primary vehicle for giving back to the community.

Los Verdes partnered with Austin Soccer Foundation to promote its annual awards gala and FootGolf tournament.

Austin Latino Coalition

Austin Latino Coalition was established in 2013 as an alliance of Latino organizations and individuals to promote civic involvement and self-determination by Latinos in the City of Austin. ALC members include approximately a dozen community-based organizations and many more dedicated individuals who have joined to advocate for issues that improve the quality of life for our community and all of Austin.

Los Verdes partnered with Austin Latino Coalition to provide volunteers to hand out PPE and promote awareness of COVID safety in the Latino community.

Hopsquad Brewing

Hopsquad Brewing was created out of care and passion for beer. “Anything goes” will always be Hopsquad’s calling. Hopsquad experiments and tries new ingredients and techniques to keep customers eager to see what they will come up with next. 

Los Verdes partnered with Hopsquad Brewing on Zapatista, a Mexican lager. The beer sold out in less than two weeks.

The Soccer Corner

The Soccer Corner is your local source for jerseys, shoes, t-shirts and other merchandise. Their mission is to offer the best products and services that inspire soccer players to elevate their game and play with passion and confidence.

Los Verdes members receive a 10% discount on all purchases by mentioning the group’s name at checkout.

La Murga de Austin

La Murga de Austin is the supporters section band for Austin FC. We are soccer supporters and musicians of all skill levels. Our goal is to help Austin FC win on the field with excitement and style through our songs and chants. We perform locally at parades, festivals, and other events to bring community pride and fútbol culture together.

You may know La Cinco12 as the official supporters group for Austin Bold, but many members are also fans of Austin FC and friends of Los Verdes.
